I'm wondering how many people have upgraded their licenses in the past couple years? First there was the reduction of the Morse Code speed requirement to 5 wpm, for all classes that still have a Morse requirement. Now with the Morse requirement haveing been eliminated, there has been a flurry of upgrades across the country, yet I hear/see nothing here.

I guess I should specify that this is for Amateur Radio, for those that didn't know. I'll also step up and say that I've upgraded. I'm just awaiting the new piece of paper to prove it. :) (Yes, I know the CSCE proves it, but that's not what I meant.)
Not I. I got my Tech no-code in '96 and never really cared to upgrade.
Did you renew your license last year? If not, you might want to do so before the windows closes.
Yep, I renewed as soon as I could.
I would like to upgrade to General class but what with college, work and chasing a toddler around I don't have much time left over for study.
I can imagine. I just had some time, due to the end of the term at school.
I'm attending two colleges, whose semesters are offset slightly. I think my fall semester may begin just before my summer semester ends! :-o
Neither of those schools has a policy in place prohibiting attending classes at another institution?
No, neither does.
I have an Advanced license, and I haven't upgraded. Upgrading to Extra would certainly be easy, but I don't particularly care about the extra spectrum privileges, and it's kind of cool having a license class that's no longer issued.
I thought the same as you, gull, until about a year and a half ago. I always joked that I was going to be the "last living Advanced Class licensee in the US." I broke down and upgraded, though, when some of the new ARROW members, including Joe, N8OY, a 16-year-old kid, got his Extra. It's kind of cool to not have to worry about band limits. I especially like working DX on the low end of 40m.
Fair enough. Currently, though, I can't work any bands lower than 10 meters, and the allocations for 10 meters on up are the same for Advanced and Extra.
