i cannot say that which i have lost
though the emptiness burns my soul straight through.
i ache for the comfort of gentle words,
      though all i have is my solitude...
within this hallow figure i weep,
           waiting for someone to take my hand;
             to lead me to the warmth of safety.
though nothing eases this pain of isolation...
            twisting..
             tearing at myself.
give me an anecdote that will release me of this torture...
 or poison me now,
  and end my lonly suffering...

Keep writing, zoe-- if your poetry is a projection of your suffering, 
know that there is hope.

Keep working with the expression of emotion-- it can be candid, or it 
can be shaped into the possibility of what might be.  In other words, 
try an experiment of putting a glimmer of hope into your poetry and see 
if you increase any creative possibilities, so your efforts don't reach 
a plateau.

You have a skill with imagery and connecting it analagously to emotion.  
This straightfoward style is well-crafted, but you might try exploring 
some symbolism.

Otherwise, fine work as usual.

i find that real symbolism cannot be plotted out correctly... it 
cheapens the inner meaning.. or so i feel... but i'll try. thanx.

hope is something that doesnot occur that one can only wish for, why 
should i have it??? 

Well, I'm sure you'll figure out what works for you best-- remember what I
told you in person yesterday.  Great poetry is a balance between rendering
raw express..er, emotion and making it understandable..or understood to your
audience.

Hope is a striving for something better; it is not really an idle wish.
Dreams *can* be put into action.

Poetry is an attempt to get your emotions onto paper in a manner so that they
are more easily shared by others.
