"I resist"

I am compelled
But I resist
With itching palms
And red red eyes
I resist
I will not call your name
I will not scrawl it on the walls
I will not call your house at 4 in the morining
Just to say hello
I am compelled
But I resist

Hmmm.  Sounds familiar.

I may have had similar thoughts following my breakup with my first 
boyfriend.

Oh, this is neat.  :)  I really like the way that the speaker seems 
*almost* to lose control (the "call your house at 4 in the morning" 
line) but doesn't.  Resists.
