Grex Poetry Item 59: Time Flies - HeMan
Entered by heman on Sat Mar 13 20:24:39 UTC 1999:

Time Flies.
not like a bird fluttering its wings, push and pop.
not like an airplane that refuels at each stop.
but like a comet shooting across the sky, majestic like a king.
perceptibly motionless in itself, but eternally moving.
Time Flies.

Time Flies.
if you run by its side you will find it stagnates.
you are ahead of your times if in a faster state.
but eventually you will fall short, not catching up in your tries.
because you can only limp, walk or run, but time flies.
Time Flies.

Time Flies.
some lose its track, some lose its sight.
its an opponent of sorts, one you can not fight.
because you fight to win, but your fight is your loss.
while you try to beat it, it slips right across.
Time Flies.

Time Flies.
but all its speed should not scare you still.
its actually something you have - enough to spill.
remember the only part of you that can fly is your thought.
just let it take its course and you will lose not.
Mind Flies.

heman! Long time no post! I usually don't like metered and rhymed
poetry, but maybe I'll make an exception in this case.. :)
