Grex Poetry Item 357: "Epitaphs of War" by Kipling
Entered by papa on Thu Jul 4 03:00:13 UTC 2019:

One of the shortest poems in R. Kipling's collection "Epitaphs of War"
published after WWI is just two lines long.

"If any question why we died,
Tell them, because our fathers lied."

Kipling's son John had been killed in the war.
