I don't get it.
People seem to actually enjoy this slop
where the participants often wind up
looking like utter buffoons.
Uncle Miltie, where are you?
Come save us!
Someone attributed some of this to you,
believe it or not.

Maybe people are trying to forget
how silly *they* are.
I don't know.
I get a snootful of it on the weekend for real
in a game where we all pretend to be supernatural creatures
and throw rock, paper, scissors to decide outcomes.

And then I seem to live in a nation
where some people apply the philosophy
to their politics.

Dignity, manners, self-respect, WHOOSH!
Right down the crapper.

Maybe it *should* be called a "boob tube."
