I asked him if I could use his poem.  he seemed touched, in his crusty way.
his note at the bottom of the email was osmehting like, "I intend to have this
formally copyrighted, I just have to get the paperwork."  he is aware that
it's legally his anyway, right?....

but anyway, yes, yay for Tim. (:

Yay indeed.  It's a cute poem.  You may want to stick a copyright notice on
it in the login screen, if he's worried about his rights to it.  Credit where
credit is due, and all that.
