day in day out day in day out May I help you? No No No, I can't help you Your ignorance will be your demise, and no matter how hard I try, I cannot help you It's your denial of the obvious The blatantly clear That prevents me from helping May I help you? I'd really like to but no No No, I can't help you I can place a band-aid on your gangrenous idiocy, but I cannot cut this infection away I cannot help you I cannot help you I cannot help you I would like to But your ignorance denies me

Lo all, been away a bit long, sucked into EverQuest and all that and I've written very little worth keeping, much less posting, but i kinda liked this one, describes my current state, working tech support is wearing me way down
EverQuest. Gah. Another addict emerges. As usual, your poem slices right to the point -- I hear you, any sort of service career eventually wears you down.
EverQuest? Dare I ask? "a band-aid on your gangrenous iiocy" -- I want a bumper sticker that says that.
EverQuest...aka EverCrack....mud with a beautiful GUI hehe...maybe a t-shirt even <g>
Ah, okay.
hmm, I'm a little lost in all the Ever Quest conversation, but this poem is cool because it's very, hmmm...realistic? Kinda of like the "no no no" part is how you fell when someone keeps asking you, and thres NOTHING you can do..cause they won't help themselves...and I get the feelings that the writer is like..hmm...(lots of hmms today!) is done caring, and is now just exhausted in annoyance of the situation or person..
not done caring, but deffinately exhausted, it like, you tell them the same thing over and over and they just won't listen, so you try telling them in a different way, and it just doesnt help, cause they don't want to learn how to help themselves, and it's just so apparant that they want to wallow in their own helpless ignorance, and all you want to do is scream, but you can't, cause you really do care, and you really do want to help, but after 8 hours of beating your head against a wall, 8 hours a day for 11 months, and you still have 3 hours to go today, and you already took your last smoke break, and as soon as you got back from smoking you had to deal with rebuilding a 12meg database with some secretary who's entire history of computer expertise is limited to 8 years of running word perfect 5.0 on a dos machine anyway
Oh, I like the opening part of the first sentence, and I'm going to
*cough* appropriate it for a poem ...
hehe...be my guest ,g>
