Grex Poetry Item 192: Elias Brothers Big Boy, 10705 Belleville Rd., Belleville, MI 48111
Entered by remmers on Fri May 26 15:49:18 UTC 2000:

(This is a golden oldie, written circa 1989.)

        Belleville is beautiful, but,
        Avoid the Pizza Hut.
For a meal you'll really enjoy,
        Patronize Big Boy.

The choice of a table comes first,
The ones with ash trays are worst,
With your health let's do no joking,
        Be seated in "non-smoking".

        You surely will not sicken
If you order ribs or chicken,
        Partake of fowlish thighs
With a side of french fries.

        For dessert, bye and bye,
        Some tasty apple pie,
        You've tapped the mother lode
When you have it "a la mode".

        Alas, all things must end,
So now to the check let's tend,
Don't forget, while the coffee you sip,
        To compute an appropriate tip.

        Belleville is beautiful, but,
        Avoid the Pizza Hut.
For a meal you'll really enjoy,
        Patronize Big Boy.

blatant commercialism and a shameless plug. So-- did the restaurant
ever see this poem?

Sounds like a lost Moxy Fr:uvous track's lyrics.

I can hear the music now ... :)

I'll have to take your word for it, since I'm totally unfamiliar
with Moxy.

Maybe I can do, but first I'll have to hear it sometime.

"Fowlish thighs" was when I lost it, I think.
