Grex Poetry Item 113: My Body is a Castle
Entered by dea on Wed Jul 14 10:26:54 UTC 1999:

                My Body is a Castle

        My body is a castle
        each room a memory
        some lit
        some dreary
passeges between always quiet and dark
full with there hidden traps that once sprung leave a mark

        My body is a castle
        each wing a arm
        used as a shield
        when wished harm
when wished to write i use there towers
for from them come my creative powers

        My body is a castle
        the gate my mouth
from where wich my messenger departs
to spread my word to others souls and hearts

        My body is a castle
        the walls are my spirit
        which begins to crumble
when harsh words come near it

        My body is a castle
        the hearth my heart
        which touches others with hope
        to help start there fire.

Wow...I really liked that. I guess you didn't really need anything to rhyme
with "mouth". You're dead. ;-)

<gypsi was in party past her bedtime trying to help Damon with that line>
