my daughters preschool gave me this poem..and i loved it....and i really wanted to share it..... if i had my child to raise all over again, id finger paint more and point the finger less id do less correction, and more connecting id take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes i would care to know less, and know to care more id take more hikes and fly more kites id stop playing serious and seriously play id run through more feilds and gaze at more stars id do more hugging and less tugging i would be firm less often, and affirm much more id build self esteem first, and the house later id teach less about love and power, and more about the power of love

This has now been linked to smalls, as item 74.
So this must be why grandparents are so cool! They have learned the lesson of taking more time to spend with the kids and doing things with them...My two grandsons are staying with me right now...we went out yesterday and picked mulberries and made jelly together...We are going to try it today! It was a cool experience!
