Entered by sidhe on Thu Nov 10 19:18:05 UTC 1994:

Alright, now, here we go! Anyone out there ever had a really nasty irony
befall them? Has anyone out there ever witnessed one of these hum-dingers?
Take the stand! Let's hear it!

How about falling in love with someone, whom you think that you will only
do harm to, but being unable to keep away from them!

Good to see you're over him, selena.

It's a real bummer. Especially when you get a Mandatory sentence.

Here's one for you! A Fair-Witness who probably hasn't heard about it
yet! He wil probably have gotten popcorn's e-mail by the time anyone reads
this, but for now, I find it amusing, coming in here with my name under FW
on the login screen, but not BEING the FW anymore..
        Ah, ya had t'be there..

I don't know. If I was there, then it wouldn't have been ironic because the
name probably would have been changed by then. 8*)

(Anyway, back to those darn ironies....)

How about an institution that's respected internationally, even
though it's widely known that it's been the cause of murder, torture, and
wholesale culture-killing and stealing?

#11 of 23 by nephi on Sat Mar 25 08:00:47 1995:

Now which one of the many nations is that?

#12 of 23 by selena on Sat Mar 25 08:09:21 1995:

It's not.. it's a world-wide orginazation.. take a guess..

#13 of 23 by orinoco on Sun Apr 9 20:46:06 1995:

Having your English teacher correct your grammar by saying, "A preposition
is not a good word to end a sentence with."

<lol>
Not calling for the *first* time to let someone know where you're going to
be...then driving off the road and being stranded for three hours. Never
happened...never... ;-)

Mr. Play-It-Safe was afraid to fly
He packed his suitcase and kissed his kids goodbye
He waited his whole damn life to take that flight
And as the plane crashed down he thought,"Well isn't this nice"
And isnt' it ironic, don't you think
