o.k. i have a piece of pie
i cut it into 3 pieces
now, i would have 3 1/3's of the pie seperatly
the numerical value of 1/3 is .33333~
add them up, and i only have .999~
WTF happened to the rest of my pie!!!

You don't want to see the mathematical proof, but in the right circumstances
it may be shown that 0.999~ = 1.000~. This isn't an approximation but an
equality. Not very intuitive, but mathematically rigorous.
