I don't want to seem rude, but I really haven't been waiting for this item. I'm waiting impatiently for the GAME. That's still a couple of weeks or so away, and they'll (whoever "they" are) probably want $80 for it. Grrr.
Yup. Isn't it easier and cheaper to just rent it for a week and beat it?
Or wait a bit longer & buy it used for about 1/2 to 1/4 original price... ,
What I'll probably do is wait till it gets to the discount stores, like Target. With any luck, I should be able to get it new for $50-$60.
i haven't heard very much about this game, except about the endings, so like, could you people fill me in on a few details? like what system, or anything else interesting... | | |\/| |\ /\ |\ | | | | |/ \/ |/ | | |\ |\ \_/ |/ |/ the bean
I can't claim to know much about it, but it's from Square, and it's been getting nothing but praise from those familiar with the Japanese version. Need I say more? Well, I will anyway. Here's the hype on CT, directly from Nintendo: The 32-meg Chrono Trigger utilizes time travel, science-fiction, and fantasy adventure to create one of the best role-playing games ever. The game's hero, Chrono, is transported into the past and ends up altering the course of history, and with it the outcome of the future. The integral time travel element of the game enables players to alter the game by changing the past, giving players multiple endings and excellent repeat game value. There are mini-quests, a huge cast of characters, realistic time travel, non-linear game play, and more active and interactive battle scenes than Squaresoft's 1994, highly acclaimed, role-playing game Final Fantasy III. By the way, we've figured out by now that you're "JimBob". Please stop including the sig-like stuff in your responses. Thanks.
Can you change the Hero's name?
[shrug]
hee hee....ok i will stop with the sig....<g>
Thank you *very* much.
I heard that the Jap version on Chrono Trigger is already out, and that the US version will be out in Oct under a different name, has anyone else heard similar rumors?
No, the story I'm seeing in the newsgroups is that Chrono Trigger was just released in the US this week. I haven't checked this, but if I were to do so, the first place I'd try is Babbages.
ok cool...
CHRONO TRIGGER IS HERE!!! CHRONO TRIGGER IS HERE!!! <while leaping for joy, starwolf bashes his head on the cieling and lands with a sickening thud>
YUP! buying it tomorrow.
can't wait till i get my job, then i can buy it.. :)
How much do they want for it? I may try to wait 'em out and hope the price comes down.
I'm gonna wait 'til I can find a used copy Got FF3 for $24.
that's accualy a good idea
Going the used route can save a bunch of $$$. I'm always afraid of ending up with an incomplete package (such as no instruction booklet), though.
It's fun but hard as )*()+()*_ I CAN"T FIND THE SUNSTONE! IF ANY OF YOU COULD FIND OUT THE OCATION PLEASE!! NOTIFY ME!
I beat the game!!!!!! HURRAH! there's a really cute ending if you go and fight lavos right at the begining,it occurs at the end of time with all the producers as characters giving you hints talking about the olympics etc. IT"S REALLY COOLat the end it says, since you beat the game so fast here's credits your style and it goes throught them within a second. anyone know how to get any other endings?
oh wow....you people beat games quik
I'm a persistant that's all I don't stop til I win and know everything
Woah, i have like school and gunk, so i can't do that...
so do I but when I have a game to finish I work really fast
jsr is still stuck in the starting gate, no game to be found.
kain has found three endings so far
I have yet to rent a copy. I usually rent a game before buying it to make sure it doesn't suck.
take my word it doesn't!
i would take a safe bet that Chrono Trigger doesn't suck...
Hurray! The next shipment must've arrived. I found a few copies at Best Buy and snatched one up. Now if only I can find some time to play it...
If you can't, I'd be willing to take it off your hands for a while...remove a distraction or something like that ;}
Your generosity overwhelms me.
<laugh> jeff, a hint note the locations of all the boxes and doors that are "sealed with misterious enrgy, there important later. and if you fin~ the black rock or any weapon better than the star scythe for magus, TELL ME!
It's official: CHRONO TRIGGER KICKS BUTT! btw, anybody know a way to get a *not guilty* verdict in the trial?
I got a not guilty in my first (and only) trial. 5 to 1 was the vote. Didn't matter, the judge tossed me in the slammer, anyway! I don't recall doing anything out of the ordinary to get the not guilty verdict.
Heh heh...sounds like the juditial system in chrono trigger is corupt
well here's what to do, step 1 when you bump into marle talk to her beofre getting pendant, then give it back to her, step 2 find cat, return cat to girl, step 3, DO NOT, eat the guys lunch, sell the pendat, step 3 let marle browse at candy store <the previous was a do not a don't> step 4 when judge asks you who started this mess, say I did. then wehn the chancelor askes you if her fortune tempted you say no both times, then you should get all not guiltys, however you'll still be in the slammer. <aka> as far as I can tell it's non-avoidable> Need help anywhere else?
