Oh, by the way, this item isn't just for random tips, it's for questions too,
if anyone has any questions on any RPGs for Super Nes I can handle them, if
it's a game I've won (any of them I've played) I can give you answers and any
RPGs

#7 of 89 by kain on Sun Feb 19 00:09:59 1995:

(continued from last) for the NES too, (I'd have to search my brain though)
andif I haven't played them, IT'll be the next game I buy, and I should have an
answer for you in a week. OR better yet, I'll just rent it once and win it,
then I

In a past issue of Nintendo Power, they said that you can "steal" call magic
for Rydia in Final Fantasy 2. I've tried for days, but I can't get it to work.
(my characters are all around 90th lvl. by now) Does anybody know if this
actually works?

#11 of 89 by jsr on Mon Feb 20 14:27:17 1995:

I personally never got any of the "unusual" call spells that are supposed
to exist. I don't remember for sure, but I don't think you "steal"
call spells. I think you simply have a small random chance of learning
to call certain monsters after you defeat them in battle. I believe
some of the call spells you can get are "bomb", "mage", and "imp".
There may be others.

#12 of 89 by phreakus on Mon Feb 20 17:36:41 1995:

I have learned *bomb* before, by sheer luck. Any GG codes for MKII/SNES?

#13 of 89 by kain on Tue Feb 21 00:10:28 1995:

Interesting, But do you guys know about abdamant armor in FF2? Talk about it
later!

#14 of 89 by seveners on Tue Feb 21 12:33:02 1995:

I've heard about the adamant special item that is used to turn the Legendary
Sword into Excalibur, but I've never heard of any adamant armor.

#15 of 89 by jsr on Tue Feb 21 14:33:48 1995:

Yeh, I've heard of adamant armor. Never seen it, though. Supposedly,
if you beat a group of Pink Puffs (found only in a small chamber on
the moon), you have a 1/64 chance of getting a Pink Tail, which can
be traded for adamant armor.
I have found the Pink Puffs. They're pretty amusing... the
Chocobo and Mysidia theme music plays, instead of the regular battle
themes. They Berserk some of your party, so you can just sit back
and watch the action, if you want.
But Pink Puffs don't appear often, and I haven't had the patience
to keep at it long enough to beat the long odds on getting the
elusive Pink tail.

#16 of 89 by kain on Wed Feb 22 01:09:46 1995:

He is only too right, couldn't have said it better myself!!!!!!!

#17 of 89 by seveners on Wed Feb 22 01:35:03 1995:

Cool, I'll have to remember that. Now, do you have any idea where this cave is
on the moon?

#18 of 89 by phreakus on Wed Feb 22 18:42:38 1995:

It's over by all the Namingway's, I think.

#19 of 89 by plork on Thu Feb 23 00:52:28 1995:

About "stealing calls", well, you just get them by fighting that monster a
lot,I suggest going to area's where they practically ALWAYS appear, and
soon.... POP... you should learn a call spell.

#20 of 89 by kain on Thu Feb 23 02:44:36 1995:

Cool!

#21 of 89 by jsr on Thu Feb 23 15:13:46 1995:

The Pink Puffs room is deep underground (level 5?, can't recall for sure).
There's a chest in the same room, against the right-hand wall.

#22 of 89 by sidhe on Thu Feb 23 15:33:56 1995:

Simple tip for playind AD&D, 1st ed.. Don't play a Gnome Illusionist.

#23 of 89 by kain on Thu Feb 23 21:11:38 1995:

Isn't it on the north wall, and where's the crystal sword?
>

#24 of 89 by seveners on Thu Feb 23 21:25:34 1995:

Oh, I can handle this one. Go to floor B6 in the cave below FuSoYa's palace.
Climb down the left ladder and walk straight to the left. You'll walk over the
gap and into another area. From there, just follow the portals and ladders
until you come to the Wyvern. Just in case, there's a save point nearby if you
need it. When fighting the Wyvern, he'll use meganuke, so cast wall on as many
people as possible. When you win, you'll receive the Crystal Sword.

#25 of 89 by kain on Thu Feb 23 22:51:35 1995:

I knew that, I just wanted somone to explain that because I wanted it in here
but I havn't played it in a while, thanx scott!

#26 of 89 by jsr on Fri Feb 24 14:06:26 1995:

Re #23, I'm pretty sure it's the east wall, unless there's really more
than one room this works in. Scott's description in #24 has jogged
my memory a bit -- the Pink Puffs can be found one level above the "gap"
he describes, in the room at the southeast part of this level.
As long as we're discussing FF2 hidden items, do you guys know
about the Samurai Bow (in the Land of Summoned Monsters)?

#27 of 89 by kain on Fri Feb 24 18:16:07 1995:

Huh?

#28 of 89 by plork on Fri Feb 24 20:42:53 1995:

Got me...
.]

#29 of 89 by seveners on Fri Feb 24 20:49:37 1995:

Alrighty then, if you want to get the Samurai Bow, first go to the land of the
Summoned Monsters. Go to the first level of the town and wander around the
walkway, noticing the elevation in the floor. I think its toward the southern
end of the town where you will see a small, 1x1 square where the floor is
lower than everything else. Step on this "hole" to be transported down into a
chamber where you will find the Samurai Bow and Arrows. You can thank me
later!

#30 of 89 by kain on Sat Feb 25 04:24:03 1995:

Oh, O knew that, I didn't ynderstand what you were saying though!

#31 of 89 by phreakus on Mon Feb 27 17:54:42 1995:
