Good.. where do we get the Q's from?
We could ask staff what questions they are asked most frequently, or we could start an item for the answering of questions, or select a columnist to whom questions could be sent, or we could come up with questions OURSELVES that WE would like answered, research the answers, and put Q&A in the newsleter or...
new idea how about an interview section an interview with a new grex administrator each month oops i ment staff member they can share their views of the system and what they would like to see it become about my previous idea we could put a faq section in the newsletter to take the headache of repeated questions to helpers please tell me what ya think of these ideas
I think that they are pretty great, Cornelius. I'm planning on writing *something* to help the newbies out. I'm not sure what yet. Any ideas anyone? Anyway, I plan for that to be a regular column, and to cover different topics every time. Maybe I should start with PicoSpan? Maybe dabble in editors and term types (by far the most frequently asked questions)? By the way, Cornelius, we are planning right now for this to be a quarterly publication. Maybe someday in the future we will have enough material and news to require monthly publication. Heck, maybe someday it'll be a weekly! Right now I'm most concerned with getting this paper off to a good start, and your help is certainly contributing to that.
thanks how about someone writing a column advertising and telling about grex to get more subscribers online? it could be called what is grex? or grex info
would you mind clarifying that a bit, clb? Your style is very artistic, but not the easiest to understand. :-)
Well, that could be a little box on the back of the newsletter, as
a standard thing.
I like the idea of the FAQ. It goes with our online motif.
sorry i know im kinda hard to understand ok like he said on the back or int the front of the first issu like an intro to grex who we are a section called grex needs how far along are we on the newsletter as of now?
We have a few interviews planned, and are looking for board guidance on some things, which will hopefully be acquired next Wed at the board mtg.
Board Guidance? Should I light some incense?
*grin* Not for us...
Where can we *get* a copy of this newsletter?
It's virtual - virtually nonexistent. There were a number of volunteers to put it together, but then it faded away. Last I heard, people still consider(ed) it worthwhile, but the volunteerism to make it happen, hasn't happened.
