This morning I walked out and saw a large spoke-pattern spider web. I believe these types of webs are made by spiders which are termed "orb weavers." The amazing thing about this is that the several of the spokes of the web were attached to limbs on trees which were 20 feet above the ground. The basic web pattern was around 4 feet from the ground. You could see the individual strands of silk shining in the sunlight to the trees 15-16 foot above it. I never have seen such a long single strand of web and I am amazed the spider can build such a web.
