I take it that you use a different definition of "nature" than the average newspaper... (thankfully).
i love nature a 2-3 month hike in the sequioas is my idea of relaxation, they (my friends) ask me what i do that long out- nothin absolutely nothin.
I live up north(gaylord area) and boy are we glad to see spring! If anyone has questions about camping, fishing, etc, leave a message." ."
I live in a small town called Roslyn in WA. With a population of 800, and a lcation in the foothills of the Cascades it is pure heaven B)
I passed by Cle Elum last summer (enroute from Seattle to Pendleton), just a hop from Roslyn. It is indeed beautiful country.
Wow, mojo, that sounds nice, quiet, and beautiful. Enjoy.
I love mountains. Too bad there aren't any in lower Michigan. About 10 years ago a good friend and coworker decided to leave our company. He got a job at Tektronix in Beaverton (or around there). When our boss asked him if there was *anything* he could do to convince the guy not to leave, he said he was going because he wanted mountains. The next day (his last) he came in to work to find that he had a lot of nice mountainous scenery painted on his glass windows with whiteboard colors, but he left anyway. Hey, let's organize a Grexpedition to Roslyn, WA this summer. (j/k ..., well maybe not) Wish I were there.
Oh well, I can tell already that I am going to like this conference I am *really* into hiking/backpacking/camping etc. I would be more of a gear nerd if I had more money but I am pretty bad. I love being outside and there is something about being in the country that clears my mind. :)
what do you desire?
I love nature. I think that I may just become a camp counselor just so I can be surrounded by the beauty of nature all the time. I love camping, canoeing, hiking, biking, and just *being* in the forest. I wish I were there now....
Me too.
It's pretty cold in the forest tonight.
Maybe so, but at least there's no snow anymore.
Which forest were *you* talking about? I did not necessarily mean a cold forest. For all you know, I could have been talking about a tropical rain forest (or *any* forest in the southern hemisphere, for that matter). By the way, although I hate the cold, I love being in nature so much that I do camp even when the temperature is low. I do, however, much prefer warm weather.
Walking in the forest during Winter is a great experience.
i like the woods, but only in the summer 'cause the winter is too cold and fall and spring are good, too... here's a poem about nature and the woods: THE FOREST The birds sing a song, er, i messed up...: THE FOREST The birds sing a song That takes the worries Away from me. And they put my soul At ease, when I walk Through the forest. When the trees whisper To me,"Don't worry. Forget your cares." I listen. And I feel happy, and I feel Light, when I sit In the forest. The winds seem to blow All my troubles away. And I feel on top of the World, like I could Conquer all, when I Leave the forest. well, is it good? i like it 'cause of the way i actually feel in the forest (woods, whatever)
Whoa, I had forgotten about this conference. I am glad to see it is still here. :)
Interesting.... This is my first day in the nature conference. Very interesting! I guess I'll have to thank Robh's Intro conference for helping me find this. I suppose I knew about it but never thought of *trying* it, although I can't at all figure out why. :)
Welcome to Nature, Scott.
Plenty of forest and nature to be had at this year's Grexstock 96 at freida's farm in the "mountains" of West Virginia...y'all come!
give me more info about Grexstock 96
It's over.
Bummer, katie!
nature is alls donot destroy them
I love nature..spending time outside is the best medicine...I love hiking and camping and just spending time living with the land....
I was depressed earlier today, so I went for a walk. It did wonders for my mood, to be outside and all!
That's the wonderful thing about the wonderful outdoors--its so theraputic! BTW, my license plate reads: NJOYNATR [which translates to ENJOY NATURE]! :-)
RE #28 Denise is from NC, which allows up to 8 characters on its personalized license plates.
It's too bad the limit isn't 12 characters :) <lee pictures a license plate saying ENJOY NATURE and grins>
Maybe you could register your car twice and get two plates.... or, maybe there is an 8-letter expression for it in another language. Nature wouldn't care that its not in English.
Yep, bruin is correct that we get up to 8 characters for our plates [ie, letters, numbers, OR punctuation--so there has been some rather interesting personalize plates out here! :-) ]
<wonders what kind of creative plates people come up with>
Lee, check out the bumpersticker and license plate item in agora. Lots of creative plates there.
If any one can get me a penn lisense plate with an owl on it, I 'd be the happy owl. Wouldn't it be better for the environment if the plate was a part of the bumper and stayed with the car throughout the car (bumpers) life?
RE #35 Pennsylvania also has a license plate that reads "Save Wild Animals" and shows a tiger and her cub. They also have the strikingly beautiful (although somewhat illegible) "Flagship Niagara" plate. Quite a contrast from the odd/even reversal of blue and yellow.
re #35 Owl, youre a friend of keats's arent you ;)
Keats? KEATS? Did he get in here?
set KEATS.FILTER=ON
we use resourses from nature but we not give respect to it, we cheat nature, by CFC ,CO,CO2,numberless chemical products include agent orange .if we co ordinate with nature it wil give more & more to us.
