Grex Music Item 22: Detroit Festival of the Arts, June 9-11 2006 [linked]

This upcoming weekend, June 9-11, is Detroit Festival of the Arts.
It's a nice little urban music festival, with a visual arts fair 
as part of it, held on the grounds of Wayne State University and the 
Detroit Institute of the Arts.

I'm going with some friends on Saturday night to see possibly my 
favorite musician, Richard Thompson, who plays sorta rock, sorta folk,
and is often described as one of the world's best guitarists.
There's a wide spectrum of other musicians performing, including the 
Detroit Symphony, some jazz and blues performers, some hip-hop.
Some dance groups are also scheduled.
 
I mention this every year on Grex, and about 2000 we got a good 
turnout of Grexers for the band Hedningarna.
