Hey, anyone here who uses FTP to transfer or get files from a server.
can u please tell me out with my problem? thanks!!!

okay heres my problem
im trying to get the file from this account
and the file is called"   badlow(Maybe rogue edition).tar       "
when i type "get badlow(Maybe rogue edition).tar"
it says "badlow(Maybe" No directory or file.

so how can i get it??

a friend told me to put "_" inbetween so itll be- badlow
(Maybe_rogue_edition).tar
but that didn't work either, SO PEALSE HELP ME OUT!!!!

P.S: I ALREADY GOT THE SERVER, AND I JUST NEED THE CODE. I MADE THE 
CODE AND I MADE IT INTO A .TAR FILE, BUT NOW I CANT GET IT. I WILL GIVE 
OUT A IMP POSITION FOR WHOEVER THAT CAN HELP ME OUT!!

Try the quote thing I mentioned earlier.  Another trick is to use
mget.   mget badlow*

Just out of curiousity, did it end up being LoW or Rogue Edition?

the '(' character is considered special to the shell.. you *might* have
some success putting a '\' (backslash) character before it if the other 
suggestions don't work. also the ')' character should be escaped the same way.

one other suggestion.. see if you can get your web browser to give you a file
list, then all you have to do is click on the filename instead of trying to
type it.
