What's the *absolute worst* thing about M-Net?
32 responses total.
Hm. Don't you mean "Who"?.
heh
"who's" are NOT things .... now, now, adbarr .....<tsk!>
the current president of the board of directors of arbornet.
it's downtime
Heh..everything
It is extremely hard to pick out a single feature. I'd say its bureaucracy. I think that's led to a number of its other problems (scarce board & scarcer staff, which leads to angrier users and more downtime).
the fact that m-net is down all the time
The fact that even when its up, there is never a time when everything actually works the way its supposed to.
As if mnet being down all the time isnt bad enough...its even worse that when you call to see the posted update, it boots you out before you can even read it, whats the point??
I don't think that it makes much sense to call M-Net, to find out it's status--too much of the system has to be up and running for it to be able to give out meaningful info. I think that Grex and other local systems are really a better place. ...Has anyone posted the status of M-Net on mi.misc?
earlier I called mnet and connected, and typed update, and got booted out. After that I called and typed newuser, and got booted out. I just called a few minutes ago, and the phone rings, but no one picks up. Heh heh, mnet sucks.
#11: Considering that Karyl said that updates would be posted on mnet, it makes perfect sense to me to call and find out whats going on...No matter, mnet is up and running again...
And this evening it seems to be down again. Can anyone say SNAFU?
can anyone also say "in recover?"
Most of the interesting users from five years ago have gone away.
And most of the interesting activities have been buried under trash. (Which almost certainly has a great deal to do with #16.)
I figured I'd reactivate this item, if possible. The last response was from almost five years ago. What's your opinion now?

Well it does! :P Now I dont know if happyboy pooped today. How can I live without that information?
This just in: Barry pooped today!
did he tell you, or was it just a guess?
I spoke to Barry on the phone earlier this evening and he did not once mention poop. I am worried about him.
mnet sucks because mnet is down right now, and this is the WORST possible timing for mnet to be down FOR ME.
