traceroute stops somewhere around unknown.level3.net (meaning, prolly some
random level3 router located by wwnet).  i'll call them.

Not m-net, thats for sure!  I had them reboot the box this morning and 
it came back with much drive erroring.  Dave (at WWNet) attempted to 
run some fsck's and failed.  Either Rex or I will run out there tonight 
and fix it.

right now...
