Grex Mnet Item 61: Wussdown?
Entered by cyklone on Wed Sep 5 12:36:26 UTC 2001:

What the hell does this mean?

telnetd: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable.

Connection closed.

This was my attempt to dial in this morning. The second attempt just gave me
the generic "connection closed" message. Is this an M-net problem or a wwnet
problem?

once it even let me log on befor showing the fork message. usually
i would get disconnected before i had a chance to log on.

I think trex's idlekiller has gone crazy...

its saying "No more processes." whenever I try to type something.

something was forking like crazy, which could likely be the idle zapper
(because it runs as root, which doesn't have a limited number of processes).

Don't you do process accounting?

logged in via my test accountand rebooted (test account was because ssh wasn't
