Down again.
Yup. These recent downtimes are getting old.
Very old. I have a report in my home directory that I could really use for school. Why can't people keep a simple UNIX box running? Jesus.
Hell, if it *was* just a simple Unix box it would be easy. Try running a free-account system on the Internet sometime yourself.... :)
No kidding. Guys, we're sorry it's down, but remember that our staff are volunteers.

It's all you guyses fault for not contributing enough money.
Hmmm. The one at school that I administrate has been running for 94 days now without a problem, and functions as a fileserver and shell account practice box for CIS. Not a big deal.
Just talked to Rex, and he's trying to bring it back up with the help of the folks at WWNet. More as we have it.
re 8: Well, yes, but how many thousands of accounts you have have on it? And of those, how many are people who showed up just to try to crack your security?
guys...I thought it woudln't happen again after we went to Free BSD. hmm... we understand that everyone works voluntarily...I would appreciate if you could get back the system asap....got my project there :)
