I am trying to delete bookmarks in Firefox. In the URL window in the Havigation toolbar is a star named "edit this bookmark". If this star is solid, clicking on it gives a Remove this Bookmark option, that works. However if the star is hollow, clicking on it first makes it solid, when clicking on it again offers the Remove this Bookmark button - but this DOES NOT WORK. I want to remove bookmarks that show up with a hollow star. How can I do this? Also, some of my bookmarks are URLs for PDFs. How do I remove those bookmarks?
Problem solved. The solution wsn't in any of the sources I consulted, but was fairly easy to find. Under the Bookmarks menu open Organize Bookmarks. This much was in the instructions I could find, but then one must click on Bookmarks Menu. That lists all bookmarks, any of which can be selected and deleted. This was not in any instructions I found.
Have you reported your difficulty to the writers of the instructions?
Not worth my time. I'm reporting it here, for free use by anyone.
Non-grexers cannot see your report.
Nor would most people not on any of one of dozens of forums where I don't post this world-shaking discovery. Though, if you wish to post it on all those forums, you have my permission to take credit for it, too.
I look up the causes of hardware and software problems on the web, and most forums are public-access so the answers are shared. Grex is not. Half the time I find my own solutions that I posted to a mail list for linux.
Chrome..what about it
