I am trying to find a way to display other character sets while running lynx (DOS, Procomm, grex). There are instructions about how to modify config.sys and autoexec.bat, using display.sys, country.sys, nlsfunc.exe, etc., and a list of country and language codes, but it calls for doing nlsfunc < country.dat, the latter being some file that I do not have. (The example was Spain.dat). What is this file? Is it simply a font for the other character set that gets loaded into the buffer? Kermit supports two of the three commonest Cyrillic code pages, but apparently not Windows code page 1251. Has anyone used Kermit and if so, is there a way to easily add other code pages? The nlsfunc route requires VGA rather than Hercules card. Does anyone know a way to display other fonts on a VGA system the same way that you can with Hercules Plus card and TTL monitor (in particular super and subscripts in text mode). I would like to simplify my life by having only one monitor.
