okay, i appolijize for all of the entries, but....
what (and where can i get) a COMPUTER RESELL LICENSE.  No one will
even give me the time of day without it.  ANy ideas?

I'd say one good step would be to set yourself up as a legitimate
business and get a sales tax license, plus any permits you need
locally to operate as a retail business.  If there are any computer
industry/reseller trade associations you might consider membership,
or at least give them a call and get an information packet.

i hav a tax number, but a guy from a wholsaler said that 
there is a special business license just for computers.

Licenses of that sort are generally state and not federal, so it might be
different for Kansas and Michigan.

Ask your state's Department of Commerce (or equivalent). If you really
expect to get serious about this, I suggest you incorporate (in case
rogue sues you.... ;->).
