Hey, I have one of those and use it for drying sweaters that
would otherwise not do well in the dryer. It's no trouble
at all - in fact I'd say it's a well-behaved helper.

Jim says, in answer to my question where would you dry something flat "In the
oven?" "What's so funny?" I forgot to give him the context. He use to have
a sweater rack, he says. How about a plastic window screen over the bathtub?
OUrs were $10 from the window company, Fingerle may sell them too. In the
specials section. ANd he sees lots of them at the curb now. Vinyl coated
fiberglass.

Depending on the faric, I sometimes dry my sweaters folded onto a hanger (if
the fabric is sturdy enough not to pull out of shape.

Otherwise I clean off the dryer and lay the garment flat on top of it while
I dry my other clothes -- then, after one load is our of the dryewr, I turn
the garment over for the next load.

Where the garment is too big to lie flat, I drape the edges back over the top
of the garment as loosely as they'll stay.

Does the heat from the dryer cause them to shrink while they are on it?

Nope -- uit never gets that hot.
