without using the Cyrillic alphabet is Bloody Hard.

Ochen' khorosho - v Anglii. The situation is complicated by the existence
of numerous transliteration systems - you can use j, dj, dzh, g etc for the
same sound.

(...shades of Godunov vs Gudenov...)

I have had chats with Armenians who used one transliteration system while I
used another (for Russian - which they find easier than English but tend to
spell the way it sounds). It works as long as we are both consistent.

Hello peoples. Privet narod.
I have question about cyrillic support. Est` vopros po podderjke kirilitsi
na grex.
I can't type russian symbols. Ne mogu pechatat` russkie simvoli. This is bell
signal when I'm trying to type enything.
My term is "pc3" and some environments:
LC_LANG=ru_RU.KOI8-R
MMCHARSET=ru_RU.KOI8-R
LC_COLLATE=ru_RU.KOI8-R
LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.KOI8-R

Any idea?
Thanks.

Can you set term to vt100 or vt200 or vt300? I have not tried to type Russian
symbols but I can read them fine when telnetted to grex if I load them on my
DOS computer (or in linux). I load cp866 (DOS Cyrillic). You could try that
instead of koi8. If I use Kermit (at least in DOS) I also need to set
terminal character set transparent. Are you telnetted to grex?

Mozhno mne pisat' po-russkiy na adres keesan@grex.org. Ya uchilas' russkomu
yazyku. U nas eshche odin chelovek ponimaet po-russki.
