The People's Food Coop Connection (their newsletter) is usually looking for authors, especially if they talk about natural foods recipes. The PFC itself, as a coop, is interested in working together with other cooperatives. I thought it might be interesting to submit an article about Grex, complete with some favorite Grex recipes. Since we're a cooperative *and* we have a strong interest in food (yay for Grex pot lucks!), it's a natural combination. I called the PFC offices yesterday and talked to Rod, the newsletter editor. He's interested. I'd like to write the article within the next few weeks. So this item is for submitting nominations for favorite Grex recipes to be included in the article. The ideal recipe is somewhat natural foods-ish and has been popular at a Grex potluck in the past. I'd say Cold Spicy Noodles and Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread both qualify (though recipes could certainly be a LOT more natural foods-ish than something that contains chocolate chips and refined white sugar). Any recipe nominations? Thanks!!

Ooooh, nice idea. I'll think some about what I could enter.
What, no more activity here on this? I'd like to add something, but I'm still at the receiving stage, myself.
I'm thinking to include Cold Spicy Noodles and Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread for sure. I'd like to end up with about 4 recipes. Any other ideas?
How about the oregano pesto? You can't get any more "natural" than that. Note: I didn't care for it as much as *my* basil recipe, but it went over well with Vicki and her sister.
Any pot-luck favorites?
At a guess, the refined sugar could be replaced with honey. Not so sure about the chocolate chips, although it might be interesting to see what could be done with baker's chocolate, or carob chips.
Well, I turned in the article on Monday morning. Rod sounds like it's *way* too long and likely to be cut down a bunch. But it'll be exciting if even part of the article gets published....
