never entered a confer before; among other things, we have 2 upright 
pianos and would like to give one away/  is this a good place to mention 
something like that.  I'm brand new here, so feeling oddly embarassed. 
would like to try to get on 'party' the live chat, right? but dont know 
how; also, just bought a 486 machine at Kivanis, it has Windows 95; 
which conference will be the best place for me to ask sttupid questions 
as I begin to use my new toy? thx

Goods and services can be offered for sale - or for free - in the
classified cf (enter j classified) - and you won't need to feel
embarrassed making the offer. 

The "official" cf for asking about computers is micro. But it seems
most users here now do everything in agora and seldom go to other cfs.
I think it might be because the "crowd" is in agora, and maybe not as
many are in other cfs. 

Can't help you with party - never go there myself....
