someone told me that he can tell when someone runs the finger program on him
and who is doing it.  he  would not tell me how, but challenged me to figure it
out for myself.  i have had little luck so far....

someone tell me?  or give me a hint?

I know this discussion came up somewhere before, but I don't think there was
a solution for Grex users.

If you have your own host on the net full time, and you have source code for
the finger daemon, then you could modify it to log finger requests.
