How do I save files from a conference I am going to restart?
Better yet, how do I restart the damned conference?

 restarts are done by cfadm, John Remmers. I think he will archive 
the conf on disk somewhere. The old conf is available as old(conf)
and items can be linked to the new conf with the command lifrom

only a fw can li or delink an item, as well as freeze/thaw an item.

Try item 26 in this conference. Others may be useful, so enter the
command     scan      at an OK prompt.

didn't work.  Just changed "^H ^H" to "^H:" without the colon
