Grex Info Item 78: Problems with rpg .cf
Entered by vidar on Fri Nov 19 16:58:18 UTC 1993:

Have you been getting an "I don't understand "-"" message when you've
been joining the rpg .cf? I certainly have, what does it mean, when the
- key hasn't even been pressed? How do I get rid of it?

Delete the ascii picture that's in the conference's "rc" file and that
begins with a "-" character. The "rc" file is supposed to be a
command file containing Picospan commands. I presume the fw who
installed the picture wanted it displayed as the conference login
banner -- for that, it should go in the "login" file instead.

The one that still exists as Dark Sun, and is as much a wasteland as the
planet Athas. It should either be cleaned up or destroyed, but I no
longer have the power for that authorization, as I am no longer vidar,
and the conference died a while ago. I am not surprised.
