It's that old novice, Chi Taxi Willie; is E-mail into other bbs available through Grex. I mailed my check for 1st month on Sat, so this would be a member-type availability. Also: I'm interested in AA/Western Wayne bbs that can access Internet, with all features including Gopher. I hear Gopher may only be available to "official" members of university communities, i.e. students enrolled & staff, or that, if available to outsiders, it's extremely expensive. Thanks for your continued helping hands, gang!

You can send Internet e-mail to any other Internet address with the "mail" command. There should be an item elsewhere in this conference with more information on sending e-mail. Note that you don't have to be a member to send or receive e-mail. With regard to full Internet access: The Grex board is currently evaluating several options for getting Grex on the net. If things go well, we may be on the Internet with a "live" connection within 3-4 weeks. See the item in the Coop conference for more info.
With regard to gopher systems, I don't know whether people outside of the University commnuity are supposed to be using them, but there is certainly nothing to stop you. Just call Merit at 764-4800, and enter the name of whatever Michigan gopher system you want at the "Which Host?" prompt.

I meant gophers in the State of Michigan, not at the University of Michigan. The two I've used from the Which Host? prompt are um-gopherblue and msu-gopher, but I think that there are also others. If you type "help" at the Which Host? prompt, you will get a menu that will let you chose a list of all the things accessable from the Which Host? prompt. Also, generally, once you get into one gopher, you can get into all the others from that one.
If you are looking at systems that include internet access and gopher clients are part of that, check out Msen (I have an add in classified so's I don't clutter things up here).
