I can't seem to post an article to usenet. Under tin, my title was posted, but the text was stripped out. I was advised to try to post under trn or rn, but I couldn't find any instructions on how to under the help command. Does anyone know how? Thanks alot. sherlyn@cyberspace.org

Posting articles from usenet requires Grex membership. Non-members may read and respond to posts via e-mail.
I think Sherlyn is a member & could use info on *how*, as she asked. (I'd help, but I only did it a couple of times. But I think I found out how from trn's help somewhere. Someone may also have posted this information in the info conference, to which this item will hopefully be linked soon.)
Sheryln,
If you're a Grex member, you can post to the newsgroups using the f or F
command. You can also type either ? or help at the newsgroup prompt
and get a list of valid commands.

Actually, the best way to post to Usenet is with the Pnews program. You can run this program by typing "Pnews" from a UNIX prompt and "!Pnews" from a bbs prompt.

Also, when using a generic text editor to compose a message, don't forget to SAVE before quiting. :)
Hmmm. Now that you mention it, that is a very likely cause of the reported phenomenon. (And not just with a generic editor, either.)
Hey, thanks for all the help! I've been happily posting for a little while now!
