how do I open editors in grex

At the shell prompt (the thing you see when you first log into grex and it's stopped putting stuff on the screen), type "pico". There are many other editors, but I'd stay away from them, as they're harder touse.
twenex, I think newuser defaults to the menu shell.
Ah. Good point. In that case, choose "Run unix program", then type "pico" at the prompt. I think it would be a good idea to add pico to the menu shell as an option.
editors? umm, vi does nicely - default for xnix b0xes.
