hi all. im a new user and i want a bnc for irc.. how can i this make?
You can't; grex doesn't allow non-members to use IRC.
In that case, shouldn't your answer be join cyberspace by paying your dues?
Does Grex even allow members to run bnc? Vanilla IRC yes, but bnc?
I don't know; I've never tried to use either from grex. I've always been under the impression that the use of IRC clients and so on has been if not outright banned for all, at least discouraged, even for members.
Can't answer about BNC since I don't really know what it is, but we run an IRC client that's accessible to members. Just run "irc" at your friendly shell prompt!
Bnc is an IRC relay. I suppose the idea is to run it on a port your firewall administrator hasn't blocked, and connect to it and from there connect to a real IRC server.
