Hi, I'm pretty new here and I'm finally starting to get the hang of the commands. I telnet to grex.cyberspace.org usually from a mac or a pc and I don't have any problems. I just for the first time tried to connect from a unix machine and I got an echo problem. When I try to telnet to grex.cyberspace.org it comes up ggrreexx..ccyybbeerrssppaaccee..oorrgg I've had this happen before on the pc and I just turned local echo off through the telnet program and it seemed to take care of this. Could anyone please tell me how to do this on the unix machine? Thanks, The Hair

First, try ^E. If that doesn't work, use ^] to get to command mode and type "display". That will tell you what keystroke is used to control echo.
