There seems to be some new change(s) to vi. When I went to delete a file, which I do by <lines-1 dd> and then <:wq>, I got some message in reverse video that sounded like I'd dd'ed all the lines, not leaving a buffer. When I did the <:wq> it said it was making a new file. When I looked at the file after this, the original file was there. Help.
