After succumbing to IBM's masive advertising campaign, I bought OS/2 warp for my PS/1. It came with its own comm program, but I need to enter in various facts that I do not know about grex What is an IP address, is it my net address. What is the Destination IP address? and what is the Domain Nameserver? What is the Domain name (of Grex). There is yet more, but I can't access the rest until i complete this data, so... If anyone knows the answers to these questions, pleeeeeeease respond, with cherries and sugar on top. I'll respond with more questions as they come up. Remember Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease help me!

I thin ka lot of that is only applicatble if you have tcp/ppp or slip access. Other than that how is os/2 warp. I was going to buy it myself soon. I'm getting real tired of waiting for windows 3008

if you are local enough (A2) someone can slip you a copy of Kermit ... on disk, no less, configured for grex. The pertinant stuff is 2400 7 data bits Even parity a nd one stop bit. Thre are no fancy modem-thigies (no v.32 ...v.42bis) on any of our modei, so make your modem "dumb."
Um, did your original question get answered, moo? An IP address is an internet protocol address. Grex's IP address is cyberspace.org. Also, I read in Agora that someone connected to Grex via Slip? How did they do that? I though that that was undoable just like PPP.

Okay. That makes a lot more sense.
