Grex Info Item 198: Help! Not getting my mail

Quick question... Is there something the matter with pine lately? I haven't
been able to recieve any mail outside of Grex for the last two days.
I went to other free-nets to mail myself and sure enough I didn't
get it. Any ideas?

        I notice that you have a 363K mailbox.  My experience with Pine
says that Pine on Grex would have an incredibly hard time dealing with a
mail file of that size in a timely manner.  Did pine ever get to the point
of telling you how many messages you had, or did it not even get that far? 
        Even if the size of the file isn't causing the problem, it would
probably be a good idea to delete some messages or save them somewhere
else.  Our mail spool is generally too close to being full.

I went and checked my mail saved folder and it only showed 3 letters.
A total of 26K. Where is all that other stuff coming from?
I know my directory has a lot in it...Nevermind. I know what
you were talking about. I mailed myself some programs. You just checked my 
mailbox right before i saved them and deleted them.

You incoming mailbox is *huge* right now -- 866K.   You can do an

        !ls -l /var/spool/mail/peacefrg

to see the size.

It's Okay now. It was just that for a time I wasn't recieving
any of my incoming mail. But, It seems to be working again.
