I am new to this fine BBs of the name Grex, but I have established some enteries that exhausted all of its possible responses. I would like to erase them somehow because they finished their useful life. How can I do it?
14 responses total.
Please don't delete them! Conferences stay around for a long time, and there may be people later on who will want to read your items. If you really really want to, though, type "kill" at the "Respond or pass?" prompt. But I seriously think you shouldn't.
"Kill" is for deleting whole items, not individual responses. And the person who entered an item can't kill it if anybody else has responded to it. A person can "expurgate" any response they've made, but it's usually a bad idea to do so.
Thanx. I have one more question: is it OK to have two accounts on Grex?
My problem is that I changed some attributes on .plan and .profile files on
my first account. Now when i try to connect under that account it says :
"/u/myoldlogin/.profile not found" and disconnects.
How can I change the files' attributes from the second account or how can i
erase the faulty account.
thanx Pawel

I looked at your other account, Pawel. The problem was that your perms were 000 on your .profile and .plan. I change them back to 0600, which means you can read/write them, but no one else can see them. You should be able to log in again. If you want to get rid of an account, send mail to staff as Valerie suggested.
Re #4: Not quite. Your .profile (or .login) being inaccessible wouldn't stop you from using su to temporarily become your other uid & reset the perms. (I'm not sure if a .cshrc with bad perms would be a major problem.) Now, if you reset the perms on your home dir to not allow access as well ... and then ...
How long does it take to get your membership deleted. Because I just want to change my login and plan.

And that's a little bit easier then getting your whole account deleted. Imagine selling your car and buying a new one because you wanted to change the radio to a different station...
We used to trade 'em in when the ashtray was full, but it doesn't fill up any more, so I have ca. 120,000 miles on my current ashtray.
Another benefit gained by not smoking. >8)
The gastank, what about the gastank?
Why should you want to change you car when the gastank is *full*?
I really like optimism, but after 120,000 miles, I'm not +that+ optimistic about "full." However, popcorn's #8 is the right way to go.
