A better solution is to mail the FW and suggest that the item be linked so
that it appears both places.  (Make sure the FW is actually around, first -
not a problem in this case, but sometimes ... )  In general this works very
well, if the item really is appropriate to the other conference.

If the internet policy is passed by the membership, the staff may solve
the problem the easy way - by changing the kernel mods so they no longer
affect talk's tcp port.
