Grex Info Item 160: Wanted. .Grex-like system in New Jersey

My counsin George is here in Ann Arbor from Warren Township, New Jersey.  He
is very excited about Grex and would like to know if anyone out there knows
of a similar system in central New Jersey.  He is not interested in joining
the typical commercial services.  I told him that Grexers know most things,
so dont let me down. :-).

Similar to Grex? There aren't many systems like us, I'm afraid.
Most similar is the dorsai embassy in NY which offers free access. There may be
a freenet nearby (perhaps at Rutgers) , but access on those, while free, 
is limited. Panix in NY charges $ but you get access. I don't know if any 
are available within a local call from your friend.

Thanks steve.  The Rutgers idea made George realise that while Rutgers is not a
local call, there are a few small colleges close by and he will contact them to
see if they have any bbs's he could join.

Why settle for second best?  If he's willing to pay for a net connection,

Full Grex members can finger info@panix.com. 
I did this and put it in /u/srw/panix.info

You can see all of the details by typing !more /u/srw/panix.info
It's over 16k in size, so there's a lot of info there.
