Help on special fairwitness commands. Is there a list (or conf) somewhere I'm just not reading? How do you make up special commands for your conferences? How do you restart a conference? How do you link items? Where do I get answers to these questions and more?

Well, here is probably the best place to ask...however, before entering a new item in any conference it's a good idea to see if any existing item meets the needs of your question: Ok: b "fw" string not found Ok: b "fair" item nresp header 26 18 Fair Witness Commands 112 6 Origin of FairWitness? 156 0 Help on being a good Fairwitness. (The "b" is for "browse") Looks like item 26 in this conference should do the trick...
thanks I checked here once and didn't see anything, guess I missed that item. New subject...... Should there be a special list of commands at the ok prompt for fairwitneses? ie type help fairwitness/fw/fair/ ....? Is there a way to do this? Should take this to a different conference?
What you should do, if you can run Lynx, is run Lynx, go to the Grex Activities Pages, select "Picospan Conferencing", and then select "fair-witness commands". That's the easy way to read popcorn's list of commands an fw can use.
I would if I could run lynx But since I can't.....
Why can't you, canis? It's only the outgoing lynx stuff that's restricted to members.
But he may not be able to handle terminal-emulation. popcorn, where did you stash that thing in your directory, anyway?
No, I just checked. Canis uses 'ansi' which lynx supports. Try the lynx command - it should work, Greg.

thank you for all the help
There isn't any way to redefine help files per-conference. All of the fair witnesses commands are defined, mixed through the rest of the online help documentation. Since the most important role of a fair-witness is the social aspect, I never really thought ti worth while to document the fairwitness stuff separately. Many years back, Steve Simmons did some nice fairwitness documentation.
