No, it just means the NNTPserver is screwed up on the other end. Maybe the computer is down, or their's a problem with the link. It should be fixed soon.
Oh. Feel free to kill this item.
Why kill it? I think folks should feel free to use it to discuss their views on gun control, abortion, the war on drugs, Clinton's health care plan, Microsoft, political correctness, Bosnia, Nixon, the elections in South Africa, Michael Jackson, Whitewater, and welfare.
Ok, why not? I think maybe we should just kill everyone on earth and see what happens.
Someone link this to enigma or something.
Talk to an enigmattic fw.
Kill everyone item. Yeah! Kill! Kill!!! KILL!!! KIIIILLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me kill! Kill good! hehehehehehehe. Start from scratch!
You're crimminally insane. I find it much better to be insane, but moral.

Angie grandpappy.
re #2: actually, vishnu, you can freeze this item at any time.
No, really, you can!
I'm not kidding! All you have to do is type "freeze" at the
"Respond or pass?" prompt!
Not with the quotes, silly!
:) :) :)
Or you could do it without even looking at the responses by doing the same thing at the "OK:" prompt.
Yeah. Shall I? Hmmmmmmm... nah.
Respond or pass? freeze You can't do that! (I figured it was worth a shot...)
I think only me, the fws, and the confadm has the power.
#19 agrees with my WELL experience. Topics (items) can be frozen (or thawed) by the person who started the topic, the host(s) of the conf it is in, or other high mucky-mucks. But I think linked topics can be frozen only by the starter.
Hah hah, I think i'll freeze this, then maybe thaw it and freeze it every other day.
And regardless of what you do, folks who don't want to see this item again can type "forget" at the next "Respond or pass".
