Folks,
I've been using the C dev/tty command to scroll the mail in elm. but
recently, there's been a problem. The program redraws the last few lines
on the screen when it puts up the command: prompt, wiping out the text
that was there that I wanted to capture.
I odn't know if this is related, but I've noticed that I have to hit a
space now get the the grex, breakfast... and login prompt, where before, it
popped up on its own.
I'm using Zterm on a Mac with vt100.

This was a manifest hack, Pattie - copying the message to the screen. Elm then does go on to ask you what next by redrawing its little minimenu. To avoid this, you're going to have to do something different, I think. With most comm programs you can capture text as it comes in, rather than using some kind of cut-&-paste that assumes that the stuff is still displayed; if Zterm lets you do this, you'd then have to remove elm's menu from the end, but you'd have your message intact. The other approach would be to save the mail to a file, and then transfer the file (and then, normally, delete the file). I don't know why the login banner's behavior should have changed, but that's not related. The behavior of elm which you describe is the appropriate behavior for what you're doing.

Nothing's changed on my end, and elm used to act just fine, but now it
doesn't.
