Grex Inbetween Item 1: Welcome to the second edition of the InBetween conference!
Entered by scg on Sat Sep 24 18:12:51 UTC 1994:

Welcome to the second edition of the Grex InBetween conference, the place
for Grexers to discuss issues related to being between childhood and
adulthood. Any issues of interest to that age group are appropriate for
this conference. Such issues might range from sex, drugs, and alcohol, to
things such school and jobs, the pressures of living with your parents, or
without your parents, and all those important social issues. In fact,
there really isn't anything inappropriate for this conference, as long as
it somehow concerns that age group. Go ahead. Have fun. And, most
importantly, if you have a question about anything, don't hesitate to ask
it. If you never ask, you may never find out.

 What scg said.

Seriously, I'm hoping that maybe we can share some of our fears and concerns,
our hopes and joys, our likes and dislikes, our fits of immaturity, our
serious moments: all of those things that keep us young, yet help us grow.
 Have at it.

#4 of 266 by eeyore on Mon Sep 26 02:47:40 1994:

are we supposed to act like adults like our parents ask us to, or act like the
children our parents treast us as?

#5 of 266 by anne on Mon Sep 26 14:38:52 1994:

I would love to say neither- act the way you are- and at this point, I belive
that is a mixture of adult, and child. Cause that's what we are.

#6 of 266 by eeyore on Mon Sep 26 17:54:56 1994:

yeah, well, i've tried that, but it doesn't quite work out that way.
i'musually told that it doesn't fit my age

#7 of 266 by dang on Mon Sep 26 18:34:59 1994:

Well, that is just one of the lies I'm living. Almost all of them to my
dad. :(

#8 of 266 by anne on Mon Sep 26 22:31:34 1994:

How the hell are people our age SUPPOSED to act!?!?!?!

#9 of 266 by eeyore on Tue Sep 27 02:28:32 1994:

i think at this point, there is no way that we are SUPPOSED to act. i think
that society has let the standerds slip, so that behaviour is no longer
important. this also shows in the behaviour of our parents. we are the
children of the hippies. and they expect US to act grown up?????

#10 of 266 by carson on Tue Sep 27 05:21:58 1994:

gee, why not just be yourself?

#11 of 266 by eeyore on Tue Sep 27 12:04:36 1994:

if i be myself, i am not acting like everybody else, or normaly. if i follow
the crowd, i'm following the litle row of duckies, all wadddeling in a
row

#12 of 266 by carson on Tue Sep 27 12:55:16 1994:

is it just me or do carson and i seem to be having a back and forth
conversation?

#14 of 266 by anne on Tue Sep 27 17:56:29 1994:

You seem to be having a back and forth conversation, but that's only because
no one else is responding- not your fault.

#15 of 266 by eeyore on Wed Sep 28 13:20:47 1994:

#18 of 266 by carson on Wed Sep 28 15:52:48 1994:

discuss issues related to the transition between childhood and
adulthood. Some are in different stages of the transition than
others...)

#19 of 266 by anne on Wed Sep 28 17:36:39 1994:

#23 of 266 by anne on Sun Oct 2 16:59:38 1994:

I comforted you because you were crying, and sucking your thumb, after you had
insisted that you weren't in a different transition from the others.

when's Sun coming back?

#32 of 266 by scg on Thu Oct 6 03:00:18 1994:

I saw her today, but she was driving, not computing.

#33 of 266 by carson on Thu Oct 6 04:36:30 1994:

Sun is having access problems. Anne could describe them better than I.

#34 of 266 by vishnu on Fri Oct 7 02:23:16 1994:

brian: You don't need to follow me! You are all individuals!

crowd: YES. WE ARE ALL INDIVIDUALS.

person: I'm not..

crowd: shush.

#35 of 266 by anne on Fri Oct 7 02:50:51 1994:

Well, sun is not having a computer- thus the access problem. Once she gets
a computer she'll be back. It's just the getting the computer part that's
sticky.

#36 of 266 by carson on Sat Oct 8 22:34:53 1994:

re #34: cute, vishy. ;)

#37 of 266 by flem on Sun Oct 9 21:14:20 1994:

well, I'm an individual. And a rather weird one, too. Maybe that's why
I can't be myself-because if I did, they'd put me in a padded cell!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!

#38 of 266 by swa on Mon Oct 10 22:52:25 1994:

<sigh>

#39 of 266 by anne on Mon Oct 10 23:16:13 1994:

padded cells are very nice... I like them...

Opps, medication time...
