Grex History Item 33: How old am I?
Entered by md on Wed Jul 13 19:04:52 UTC 1994:

Remmers' item about the seventies got me to thinking. (He and I
are very close contemporaries, so the following lists apply to
him as well as to me.)

I am younger than... I am older than...

ragtime rock 'n' roll
the Treaty of Versaille NATO

to check a date...]

I am younger than:
Microwave ovens
early computers
casette (sp?) players
color TV
NATO
transistors
felt pens
rock 'n' roll
Cruise Control
etc.

I am older than:
CD players
home VCRs (I think)
personal computers being widespread
Hmm... There must be more that I'm older than.

Still alive when I was born:
Elvis (for another month or so, I think)
Charlie Chaplan
Again, there must be more that I'm not thinking of.

I am younger than the Normandy Invasion, but older than VE day
(and therefore of course also VJ day). This makes me too old to
be a baby boomer. (but not by much)
